hey, i'm sam, a dop based in london. i care deeply about storytelling and image making, and believe images have so much power to shape emotions and shift perspectives. my approach to cinematography is grounded in intuition, rhythm and especially collaboration - i'm drawn to people and love hearing interesting ideas. as well as this, i draw a lot of inspiration from music, as well as art, film and photography more generally.

born in italy and raised in the new forest, i moved to london to study and live in 2016. i have been working in the film industry since 2018, initially in the lighting department on commercials and features, and now as a dop.

outside of work, i’m a lover of cooking and great food, boxing, drumming, reading and living a happy life. i can speak conversational italian.
